An eventful Saturday

My Saturday started off with the 10th Annual Run By the Border 5k Run. I woke up at 6am, ate a small breakfast, drove to the University, and ran the race a little after 7:30a. I finished the 5k in 30min and 20 seconds – I was unsatisfied satisfied with my time.

I came home and made the second part of my breakfast: tuna scrambled egg in whole wheat flour tortilla. It was really good or maybe I was just really hungry lol.

After breakfast, I showered and got ready for a one day marriage conference from Wisconsin via Satellite we had at church today. The hubby and I missed the first 20min. of it but we didn’t miss much. I must say it was a very good conference. It was refreshing, encouraging, and helped us refocus. I’m glad I was able to share this with my husband and our friends, both married and single. It was indeed a blessing!

I tried this new drink today called nutrisoda and loved it! Only thing is it’s a bit pricey, almost $2.00! I may buy ‘em as treats once in awhile.

After the conference I went home took an hour nap and then went to the beach for a walk and dinner. It felt so good to be out there, only thing is there was red tide and we couldn’t stop coughing. We had to cut our walk short and then we headed to my favorite cajun restaurant, Daddys!

I ate pretty clean and good today so I let myself have some of their awesome fried zuchinnis. I ordered The Bayou – grilled fish, crawfish etouffee, and steamed rice - it’s my favorite dish! I was soooo hungry, I finished the whole thing!

loved my Saturday! How was yours?

Fall hasn’t reached us, yet. I live in South Texas, low is in the mid 70’s and highs between 85-95 degrees. We did have a cool front pass by us this weekend. It felt so nice. The ocean felt so warm that day :) I love the beach too!

Awesome 5k time. That’s better than I did for my first 5k for sure! :)

My Saturday was okay. I am still trying to get used to my new bc medicine. It’s taking some time.
